Tax exemption application & related items

In 2019, GHROA began the process of filing for Tax-Exempt Status with the IRS. Here are the related documents.

GHROA IRS Tax Exemption Granted

The IRS has extended Section 501(c)(4) status to GHROA and not assessed a penalty. This provides federal tax exemption to GHROA. Please find attached the IRS letter. As directed, we will immediately transition to filing an IRS Form 990 (990, 990-EZ or 990-N) instead of the IRS Form 1120-H. The next step is to submit the Texas Tax Exemption request.

GHROA Response to IRS

Grady Dougless, who was part of the original team to prepare the original application, also prepared this response to the IRS's request for more information, dated January 2, 2020.

IRS Request for More Information

The application for tax-exempt status was sent on October 11, 2019. This is the IRS's request for more information so they could process that request.
